Walking/Hiking
The Bogong High Plains come alive in the summer with the colour of blooming wildflowers and regenerating forests. With a selection of short walks for all levels explore in and around Falls Creek at your own pace. Falls Creek also has a range of guided tours available.
Cycling/Mountain Biking
Surrounded by awesome mountain scenery, Falls Creek delivers some of Australia’s most inspirational bike riding country. Whether you enjoy cruising with the family, challenging hill climbs or blazing downhill – there’s a track to suit all levels of skill and fitness.
Fishing
The Rocky Valley and Pretty Valley lakes contain both brown trout and rainbow trout and each provides excellent fishing in summer for shore based anglers. Bait and Tackle hire is available from Falls Creek Information Centre.
Giant Swing, High Ropes & Climbing Wall
Experience a thrilling adventure at YMCA Howman’s Gap! Throughout January, enjoy exciting activities including a giant swing, high ropes course and state-of-the-art climbing wall.
Horse Riding
Explore the High Country on Horseback. There are many opportunities to explore and enjoy the surrounding mountains and valleys on horseback. Local operators offer half, whole and multi-day horse riding adventures in the High Country.
Tennis
Two mod-grass tennis courts are available for hire for $10 per court. You can purchase tennis balls for $1 per ball. Key and rackets loan requires credit card swipe of $50.00 cash deposit.
Chairlift Rides
During summer the Summit Chairlift operates for scenic tours and mountain bike enthusiasts.
Geocaching
Ever wanted to search for buried treasure? Geocaching is a modern day treasure hunt with sites all over the world. Equipped with a GPS and a clue, search for hidden boxes or containers called geocaches filled with ‘treasure’.
Gymnasium
A small community gym can be found near the bottom of the Falls Express Chairlift on Slalom Street. Popular with locals the gym is also available for use by visitors to the resort. A bank or rowing and cross country machines, stationery bikes and treadmills cater for your aerobic fitness. For strength training you will find a selection of weight training equipment available.
Open Air Cinema
Join in at the Village Green for an open-air cinema experience to remember. Bring the family, a warm jacket and a blanket or comfy chair and enjoy a free movie on our giant inflatable screen.
Kids Club
Over the summer holidays they have kids activities running everyday from the 27th or December to the 31 January. There activities are designed for primary school aged children.
